Never shying away from new challenges and responsibilities, Alex has covered a myriad of roles and functions over the past twelve years, with each and every designation adding value to an already impressive repertoire. His first experiences exposed him to the local banking sector, working both with the regulatory body in the form of the Central Bank of Malta as well as with influential market players on the other side of the spectrum. Progressively, Alex sought pastures new by continuously pushing his boundaries in Capital Markets, Fund Management, and the dynamic financial services industry at large. Rapidly rising through the ranks, Alex has made a name for himself, be it as a manager, an executive or as a director. His flexibility, willingness to learn and boundless energy have put him in an ideal position to manage and respond to the ebbs and flows of the market.

Besides his insatiable appetite for learning and doing, Alex has an extraordinary disposition towards sharing his knowledge with colleagues and other aspiring professionals. Alex continuously seeks to mold future generations of financial operators by setting the right examples, upkeeping lofty standards and providing practical solutions, therefore acting as an invaluable mentor to the hungry and curious.

Following his studies at the University of Malta, wherein he graduated as an economist in 2005, Alex immediately pushed his academic boundaries even further by successfully obtaining a Master’s in Science degree in Economics (Finance) from the University of Copenhagen. Alex has no intention of resting on his academic laurels and remains continuously on the look-out for avenues for growth and training opportunities.
